According to The Teacher's Commentary, Paul wrote the Book of Ephesians to illustrate the operation of the Church as a living organism. In other words, those who are members are members of the Church are members of he body of the living Christ. It is a body and a family, and the family household is a holy living temple. Paul desires for us to have the experience of His divine power: that we be alive in Christ, because through the suffering of Jesus, on the Cross, we have been made dead to sin. Because of His love, we are called to be raised in righteousness to be seated with Him in eternity.
Today's Comments: Today, our pastor talked about the story of Tubby the Tuba and how God's church is like an orchestra in which each member has a function or activity. Like the orchestra, we work together using our own God given talents to make the Church what it is. And yet, we each have our own song to play.
